The Pen

She’s gone. She gave me a pen. I gave her my heart, she gave me a pen.

Light

Light allows us to see through the darkness; it illuminates our path, making it possible to find what you’re looking for – your purpose.

Does light have color or can it be simple as black and white? Aren’t the people in our lives like light? Who is your light, and what are they supposed to show you?

No Title

How did you see yourself
now
when you were younger
Is it the same?
no
now it is
hard to see
through the fog
slowly rolling into
town
everyone is asleep
except for us

Weird dreams fantastic machines and letting go

In her eyes
streaked with sunshine, flecked in a brown base, swirled with coffee and cream
I get lost in them
I am
In a fighter jet screaming along the desert floor.
Contol – no control it’s all the same
speed and velocity are constant pressure on my vision.
Falling parachute floating for what seems like
seconds
Fast car with smooth lines
primed with gasoline, vaseline, and fire
Consumes my blurry vision
the car drives itself
even though my hands grip tightly the wheel.
Steering, turning against the gravity of speed
I continue in a straight line
straight with speed
the kind that takes your breathe away
into
Motorcycle strapped to my legs.
Fused with the engine.
Road traversing up my spine
I feel every bump in the road I am at one with
the engine hum in my bones.
A question
what do I want?
Jeep top down, driving slow, steady, focused
and sure.
My eyes focused now I know at this part of the dream no matter what terrain, obstacle or situation I encounter I can
navigate
as long as I do not jerk the wheel.
So I let it go

I let go of the wheel with trust
confidence that everything will happen as it’s supposed to
relaxed
I will enjoy this ride I will embrace this life.
Everyday is worth my energy.
Everyday will be lived as the last
smell, taste, breath.
Breathe it in and breathe it out with everything I have.
I know how this story goes
it’s my dream and I have had it before, but this time
This time I am at the wheel.
